Momento Locket

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 20th, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Momento Locket collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your information when you use the Momento Locket mobile application and website (collectively, the "Services"). Momento Locket lets you save and access photos, videos, voice recordings, notes, and files, and share them using smart NFC and QR Code products. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1 Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information, primarily to provide and operate the Services:

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, and password. Authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication (a Google service). We use this information to create and secure your account, verify your email address, and enable password resets.

Content You Provide

We collect and store the content you choose to upload, create, or share through the Services, including photos, videos, voice recordings, notes, and other files. This content is uploaded to our servers so it can be delivered and made accessible through your NFC/QR Code products and shared links.

Contacts

If you use the "save contact" / vCard sharing feature, we access your device contacts to let you save or share contact information. Contact data is only accessed for this purpose and with your permission.

NFC and QR Code Data

We read and write data on NFC tags and process QR Codes so you can link, activate, and open content associated with your Momento Locket products.

Device and Usage Information

To operate, secure, and improve the Services, we collect technical information such as device identifiers, push notification tokens (via Firebase Cloud Messaging), usage and analytics events (via Firebase Analytics), and diagnostic logs.

2 How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, and operate the Services and your account.
  • Store, process, deliver, and share your content as you direct.
  • Send you account-related communications and push notifications.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Understand usage, measure performance, and improve the Services (analytics).
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3 Permissions and Why We Need Them

The app requests the following device permissions. You can grant or revoke them at any time in your device settings.

Camera Take photos and record videos to add to and share through your albums.
Microphone / Audio Record voice recordings and audio for your content.
Photos / Storage Select existing photos, videos, and files to upload and share.

4 Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party providers to deliver the Services. These providers process information on our behalf and are subject to their own privacy policies:

  • Google Firebase — Authentication, Analytics, Cloud Messaging (push notifications), and Dynamic Links.
  • Content delivery networks (Bunny CDN and Amazon Web Services / AWS) — storage and delivery of your media content.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers to understand how they handle your information.

5 Data Storage, Retention & Security

Your content is stored on our servers and content delivery network. We retain your content and personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete content or your account, we remove the associated data in accordance with this policy and applicable law, subject to reasonable backup and legal retention requirements.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit.

6 Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • As you direct — content you choose to share via links, NFC/QR products, or with other users.
  • Service providers — with the third parties described above, solely to operate the Services.
  • Legal reasons — to comply with applicable law, legal process, or valid governmental requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

7 Your Rights & Choices

  • Access and correction — view and update your account information within the app.
  • Deletion — delete your content or your entire account (see below).
  • Permissions — grant or revoke camera, microphone, photos, contacts, NFC, and notification permissions in your device settings.
